Principal for Change Management, Culture, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility
Ahkesha Murray serves as LMI’s Principal for Change Management, Culture, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEI&A). She oversees all aspects of LMI’s DEI&A strategy and programs and acts as the organization’s recognized change management and culture authority. In short, she endeavors to positively influence the culture of LMI and the well-being of its employees.
Ahkesha is an organizational development professional with a broad range of expertise, to include organizational change management, strategic communications, strategic planning, training development and project management. She joined LMI from Strategy Consulting Team (SCT), where she spent almost two years as a program manager providing human capital and business operations support for the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Defense Programs. She has lead DEI&A interventions, including climate assessment, strategy, governance, informal engagements, and training development and was a strategic advisor for her client’s organization-wide DEI&A initiatives. Prior to working for SCT, Ahkesha began her management consulting career with LMI, supporting clients such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Bureau of Primary Healthcare. She also served as the Deputy Program Manager for the LMI Research Institute, overseeing our innovation and research initiatives, and Academic Partnerships.
Ahkesha received her bachelor’s in Actuarial Science from St. John’s University and her MBA from Wake Forest University. She is an alumna of the Leadership Fairfax Emerging Leaders Institute, and has received distinguished honors, to include the LMI Paul Ignatius Luminary Award, the Women of Color STEM Technology All Star Award, and a NASA Group Achievement Award. Ahkesha also represents LMI as a founding member of the WashingtonExec Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council.
